The Gunners crumbled when it mattered the most, but according to a former coach of the team, the team has really been strengthened and they should have enough to go all the way out this time around.
Legendary coach, Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal will win the Premier League next season and has backed the mega transfer of Declan Rice. Arsenal confirmed the signing of Rice from West Ham United in a transfer worth up to £105 million on Saturday.

The England international has penned a five-year deal, with the Gunners also snapping up Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Jurrien Timber from Ajax this summer. Despite losing the title, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the North London club as they made a return back to European football as they placed second, hence would be playing UCL football this coming season.
Wenger likes his old side’s business this summer and reckons they’ll win the league next season. On the club’s recruits this summer, he said: “I think it is a good investment. Overall, personally I think they have made good buys as they are players who are now mature, 23, 24, but still young so can stay together for a few years.”
Asked for his prediction for the Premier League title next season, he replied: “I believe we will win the championship; it is as simple as that. I have less doubts for Arsenal than the cycling today.” Arsenal haven’t won the league title since their ‘Invincibles’ season back in the 2003/04 campaign.
The Frenchman added: “They will be under more pressure after last year, but they have learned a lot and they can show they can deal with that pressure now.” Ironically, it was under his reign that Arsenal won their last EPL title, as his team went the whole season undefeated in 2004.
After last season’s near miss, they appear to be in a stronger position with their recent acquisition which has now gone beyond the €200m mark. It’s now left to be seen how they will handle the rigors of playing on different fronts unlike when they were just able to focus on the EPL.

The two clubs have been working in talks for the past few days to finalize their agreement and this week, he would be unveiled as a player of the EPL side, joining Mason Mount as the club’s new addition. According to the report, two clubs had a conference call meeting last week, Thursday specifically to discuss the final details of the agreement.

The player also has an agreement with the Red Devils on a five-year contract that would see him earn between €100k to €150k per week salary, a huge increase on his current salary at Inter Milan. The clubs should formalize the transfer imminently, and then Onana can complete his medicals and sign his contract with United.
The Nerazzurri will get a €50 million fixed fee. In addition to this, the clubs have agreed add-ons worth €4 million, taking the total value of the deal to around €4 million. Onana joined Inter just twelve months ago on a free transfer from Ajax, so he woukd represent a huge gain for the Nerazzurri and go a long way in helping their weak financial situation.
