Arsenal Make “Important Bid” For Italy Star

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Italy’s Sassuolo midfielder, Manuel Locatelli according to the Italian club’s CEO, Giovanni Carnevali.
Speaking to Sky Sports earlier on a host of topics, Carnevali confirmed that “Arsenal have made an official bid for Locatelli,” He added that the English club is “pushing hard to sign Manuel and it’s an important bid.”
Several clubs have been linked with a move for 23-year-old but it looked like Sassuolo had given Juventus priority over other clubs with multiple reports suggesting that the Bianconeri were prepared to offer up to €35 million plus the transfer of a youngster for the Sassuolo midfielder.
Arsenal now seem prepared to battle with Juventus for the midfielder as the look to beef up their midfield for the coming season following the departures of key members such as Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard and the potential transfer of Swiss international, Granit Xhaka.
Carnevali also confirmed that there is a “new meeting scheduled with Juventus” but the recent revelation suggests that nothing is done with the Old Lady as far as Locatelli is concerned.
