Toronto FC winger Lorenzo Insigne is continuing to push Maurizio Sarri to secure a move to Lazio in January, reports suggest, seeking for a reunion with his former manager from his days in Italy with Napoli.
The 32-year-old Italian forward made the jump to the MLS last year after his contract expired with Napoli, and things initially started well in Toronto, where he scored six goals and provided two assists in his first 11 league games. Things have taken a downward turn this campaign; Insigne has only scored four goals and provided four assists in 19 MLS matches and has seemingly lost the backing of the fans.

He was recently seen showing the middle finger to some supporters in the stands. As reports, he initially offered himself to Sarri and Lazio, Insigne is now continuing to push for the move to the Italian capital.
Toronto would be willing to let the highly paid 32-year-old leave on a free transfer, whilst the winger has made it clear that he’d be willing to reduce his €10m net per season salary in order to push through the move. One key condition must be met for Insigne to arrive, however – veteran winger Pedro would need to leave.
