Written By Onyeka Daniel

These last few days has been really chaotic for Italian side, Juventus as they seem to go from one issue to the other with no end in sight and adding to their current financial situation, may affect their performances on the pitch too.

More Details

Now, another player has decided to take legal actions against the club, this time around, for unpaid wages. Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to proceed with legal action against the Bianconeri over unpaid wages, according to a report from Italy.

The report highlights how the Portuguese star, who spent three years in Turin, is demanding to be repaid the €19.9m net that he was promised by the club when he agreed to defer his wages during the early months of the COVID pandemic.

These deferred wages are part of Juventus’ now-infamous ‘salary manoeuvres’, which are the subject of the ongoing Prisma legal case. After requesting the relevant documents from the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office, Ronaldo has now decided to take legal action against Juventus, causing another headache for the Old Lady.

Paulo Dybala, on the other hand, has reportedly reached an agreement with Juventus regarding the close to €3m he was owed. He has now dropped his lawsuit regarding compensation for the failure to extend his contract following their initial verbal agreement.

Meanwhile…

The club has an interest in Lazio star Mattia Zaccagni as his present employers struggle to get him on a new contract. The winger has been expecting a new deal from the Biancocelesti for the last few months, but there has been no agreement between both parties till now. This has exposed the Rome club to losing a player they consider key to their performance and Juve could land him.

According to the report, Juve’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, likes the midfielder a lot and could swoop to add him to the Bianconeri squad in the next transfer window. But first, they will have to get their finances in order before they can make a move and it should also be recalled that Lazio already have a pending business with the Bianconeri.

They signed Nicolo Rovella on loan with an obligation to buy on certain conditions while also signing Luca Pellegrini on a two years loan deal. Juve only need to convince the player and could begin the process of persuading him to join them soon, which could take him away from the hands of Lazio.
