47,367 At Arsenal: Record Attendance In English Women’s League

Almost two months after the final of the European Football Championship, the women’s league WSL in England has experienced record attendance. 47,367 fans attended the match between Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur (4-0) at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday.

The previous record since 2019 was 38,262 visitors to the Tottenham Arena.

The goals in the derby came from Beath Mead, Vivianne Miedema (2), and Rafaelle Souza.

England defeated Germany 2-1 after extra time on 31 July in front of over 87,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

A total of 27,574 spectators also attended the match between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield.


It is the fourth most attended game in the FA Women’s Super League. The game was won by Football Club Everton 0-3. The goals were scored by Megan Finnigan, Jessica Park, and Hanna Bennison.


The WSL got the attendance boom the world was waiting for this weekend.

Arsenal set a new WSL record attendance for the North London Derby against Tottenham, while Liverpool welcomed fans to Anfield.
