The Juventus midfielder scored three goals as the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinalist thrashed Romania 0-5 in 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers on Tuesday.

Juventus midfielder, Barbara Bonasea opened the scoring for the Italian side in the 22nd minute.

The Romania women’s football team put up an impressive defensive display to stop the Italian from scoring more goals until the 53rd minute.

Inter Milan’s Flaminia Simonetti set up Cristiana Girelli for Italy’s second goal in the 53rd minute.

Cristiana Girelli in the 61st minute increased the Italian lead to three off an assist from Juventus defender, Lisa Boattin.

AS Roma midfielder, Valeria Pirone made it 0-4 before Cristiana Girelli scored her hat-trick in the 94th minute.

Italy with the result remains in the second position in Group G with 15 points behind Switzerland (18 points).

Italy will next host Lithuania in 2022 when the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers resume.
