2023/24 Spanish Liga F MD1 Review: European Champions Start League Defence On Winning Note

European and Spanish champions, FC Barcelona Femeni started their title defence in the Spanish Liga F with a 2-0 win against Madrid CFF as the league got underway on Saturday.

The Catalan side officially opened the 2023/2024 season with a hard-fought victory at Madrid CFF. In their first-ever top-flight match, Granada stunned Real Sociedad 2-1 courtesy of goals from Andrea Gomez and Edna Imade.
Levante in the last game of the weekend beat Sevilla FC 2-0 with goals from Angela Sosa and Redondo Ferrer.
Overall, Atletico Madrid took an early lead at the top of the log with superior goal difference ahead of FC Barcelona, Levante UD, UDG Tenerife, Real Madrid, Las Planas, Granada, and Betis.
