The 2023/2024 German Bundesliga season got underway during the weekend with holders, Bayern Munich dropping points while former winners, VfL Wolfsburg earned a 3-0 win over Bayern Leverkusen on Sunday.

Freiburg in the first game of the season forced holders, Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw at the Dreisamstadion, Freiburg on Friday.
With 11,000 fans in attendance, Janina Minge’s seventh-minute goal erupted the joy of fans before Lea Schuller silenced the excitement with the equaliser in the 21st minute.

After the interval, Iceland forward, Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir sealed the win in the 48th minute.
